Never a bad word to be said about the Codbox , very friendly staff, owner always got time for a chat. Food is reasonable, and big portions of chips, even the small bag is ample. Place is spotlessly clean. Sometimes you have to queue, but as the chippy is highly popular, what can you expect ? Give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.

The experience I had at the Codbox was nothing short of fantastic! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The service was top notch. The onion rings were big, fresh and super crispy. Absolutely delicious! Then came the fish and chips. The portions were generous and reasonably priced I must say. The cod was crispy and cooked perfectly. The restaurant is clean and the member of staff were patient, warm, and professional.

A very warm welcome and superb fish and chips, crispy light batter and chips just as they should be and the homemade chicken curry is delicious . Their menu also has so much more to offer that we haven't yet tried. Just recently moved here and we are so lucky to have this just down the road, our new favourite fish and chip takeaway 😋

Great food here and really nice lady that served me. Had the homemade chicken curry and chips which was lovely. Very good portion sizes as well the "small" chips is enough for two people! Great value as well what more could you ask from a chippy?!
